I am looking to buy a radio controlled plane but cant seem to find which one will suit me best. i am a beginner but dont want to buy one too easy that i will outgrow and need another, i also would be looking for something manouverable. so my main question is which is better petrol or electric???

You get more speed and power with a petrol and they are better to handle.

I prefer electric for the simple fact that they arent as messy and nowhere near as loud

For safety an electric model but for speed and the thrill of having to maintain concentration a petrol radio controlled plane is best.
Practise with an electric type first of all as errors can be costly.

petrol because you will soon get fed up with the battery going flat and needing to be recharged just after you get going
