H Bcliffe, you are right the building of models is a lost art since the advent of plastic (ugh) models. I have only once attempted a sub, but it never was completed, but I have build a large number of scale models. 200 sale- Bismarck, Tirpitz, Prinz Eugen, Nuernberg and in 165 scale SMS Emden, Leipzig, Seydlitz and Derfflinger. Plus a few others.
Except for the railings, stairs and steps I build every from scratch. Some days I’ll put them on Youtube, when I know how to do that.
